Round Corners is a new Coffee Shop based in Preston, Lancashire. I was approached to help with naming, brand strategy and brand identity.
The name, Round Corners, is a juxstoposition between hard and soft. This same juxtoposition is evident between the brutalist bus station (which can be seen from the shop window) and the soft, playful and friendly identity the client wanted to create.
As the coffee shop is located within another pre-existing business, the branding had to be sympathetic to the style whilst still creating an element of separation.
The fun, playful illustrations not only highlight the products and services on offer, but also tie in with this contrast between hard and soft.
